Helena Stewart pd.1
Final Draft of Thesis.
My theme is the interests, and life of Marie Antoinette. I used charcoal, colored pencils, acrylic paint, shadowing, realistic elements to reflect Marie Antoinette and my love for patterns, jewels, bows, and color through her life. I chose her life to help me show and create my art because she lived a very glamorous and charmed life.
In my art I am expressing my love for colors, accessories, and patterns. I have a picture that express’s color and pattern. It is of different colored flowers and petals spread throughout the picture. I also have a piece with a colorful dress that looks like it was made in the time period of Marie. I have another picture that shows a variation of cupcakes, and miniatures cakes expressing the different colors and details put into each piece of food.
I accomplished these pieces of arts through acrylic paintings. The acrylic paint helped me add more color and life to my paintings. It also added different varieties of texture to each stroke. I used charcoal drawings to emphasize the shadows in my drawings. Pastels were used in most of my work to help show different blends of colors, shadowing, and I added crayons to help add texture. Just simple drawings and sketches also helped me get my theme through to the viewer.
I did it because i love patterns, colors, accessories, and the time period she lived in. It’s inspirational to me, and it’s easy to get ideas from it. It makes me happy and excited from the glamour of the items, and from the glamour of her life. The ideas for my art from this theme come very easily to me, because I can relate to her life through her style, clothes, food, jewelry, colors, and patterns.
My theme is the interests, and life of Marie Antoinette. I used charcoal, colored pencils, acrylic paint, shadowing, realistic elements to reflect Marie Antoinette and my love for patterns, jewels, bows, and color through her life. I made many pieces of art to help better understand my theme.
